Did you know that we (humans) rely on bees for ONE in every THREE mouthfuls of food we eat, due to their vital work as pollinators.
And in the last few years bees have been struggling – we have lost 13 species and another 35 are currently at risk. We really canβt imagine a world without foods like apples, strawberries, coffee and nuts. Can you?!
On Friday, 20 May, Union Preparatory School hosted a fun civvies day in honour of World Bee Day.
And what a wonderful opportunity in turned out to be to teach our Preppies all about these amazing creatures.
