There was plenty of tea, finger foods and love to go around at Union Preparatory School’s annual Grandparents’ Tea held on Wednesday morning, 21 August.
This year, the school was delighted to welcome 200 grandparents to the event, which was themed “Land of Far, Far Away”.
In honour of the occasion, the UPS Dome was transformed into everybody’s favourite green ogre’s swamp.
Many of the visiting grandparents also dressed accordingly.
After everyone had taken their seats and principal Ms. Leona Rich extended a word of welcome, the learners performed little snippets inspired by the movie “Shrek” which went down extremely well.
A group of wonderful prep school moms then served the event’s special guests with a delicious plate of finger eats and tea.
The morning was greatly enjoyed by the grandparents as well as the learners and Union Preparatory School thanks everyone who attended this special occasion.
A lot of hard work went into the preparation for the event and the school extends a grateful word of thanks to all the moms who contributed to the tea’s success, by either assisting with the décor or hosting.
