In the soft morning light of Friday, 4 August, Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet hosted its time-honored Interschools’ Assembly.
A multitude of guests filled the school’s dome to participate in this extraordinary event that overflowed with ๐ฉ๐ค๐ช๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ข๐ค๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐จ.
From the grand entrance of the high school’s 1st rugby and hockey teams, to the ceremonial presentation of the scarves, the heartfelt address delivered by Mrs. Chanzelle Heunis-Jones, and the inspiring words from Caitrin Spence and AJ Victor, Union High Schoolโs Head Prefects, each moment was a testament to why this event is eagerly awaited every year.
The speeches by 1st team captains, Brigettรฉ Oelofsen and Ryan Jenneke, along with the spirited war cries from the younger teams, added to the excitement.
A ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ ๐บ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ was undoubtedly Mr. Gerrar Mayaโs performance of ‘Union’s Call’, which stirred the emotions of all present, creating an unforgettable “goosebumps” experience.
