This past Saturday, 5 November, Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinetโs ๐จ/๐ต๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ง side played a 30-over match against Graeme College.
Although there was some uncertainty about whether the game will continue or not as rainclouds were threatening overhead for most of the morning, the sun came out just as the Union team was arriving in Grahamstown and the game could, luckily, continue.
The captains proceeded to do the coin toss, which Union won and then elected to field.

This was a very high score but our boys took up the challenge and fought back bravely.

When the Union side went it to bat, they lost some of their higher ranking batsmen early on in the game, but the partnership between Harry Watson and Morgan Jacobs set them back on track and the team continued to put up a good fight.

Union managed to make 153 runs in total which, unfortunately, wasnโt enough to win the game – Union lost the game by 29 runs.
