Every child deserves an Easter egg around this time of year!
With this in mind, Union Preparatory School hosted a ‘Funky Feet’ civvies day on Thursday, 1 April, which saw Union’s learners each donate R5 towards the purchasing of Easter eggs for the less fortunate children in the community.
The learners, in turn, could then wear their civvies as well as funny shoes and/or socks to school.
The initiative was a ton of fun as well as a huge success and resulted in the school’s principal Ms Belinda Botha (ably assisted by the Easter Bunny) delivering Easter eggs to numerous crèches and daycare centres throughout Graaff-Reinet.
Union Preparatory School extends its grateful thanks to all the learners and their parents who contributed towards this initiative and in so doing enabled us to spread some Easter cheer!
