Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet‘s U9A cricketers produced a superb all-round display to defeat a visiting Herbert Hurd by 62 runs on Saturday, 14 February.
Batting first, the boys posted an impressive 125/4, with ๐ฅ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ anchoring the innings beautifully with 51 off 51 balls.
A disciplined bowling and fielding effort then restricted Herbert Hurd to 63/7, as ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ and ๐ช๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ฎ๐บ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ both claimed 2/8, supported by ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ถ๐น๐นโs 2/9.
