Interhouse Gala

Thursday’s 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗚𝗔𝗟𝗔 was a fun-filled event, featuring some outstanding performances from our young swimmers and several records being broken throughout the evening.

  • In the 4X25M Individual Medley, 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗼𝗺, competing in the u/9 category, set a new benchmark with a time of 2:29.33.
  • The u/8 25m Freestyle races were equally thrilling, with 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿 and 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 showcasing their talents. Julia set a new record with a swift time of 24.90 seconds, while Ruben followed closely, finishing with an impressive 22.20 seconds.
  • 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗼𝗺 continued his record-breaking spree in the u/9 25m Butterfly, clocking in at 31.78 seconds, and further demonstrated his prowess in the u/9 25m Backstroke with a time of 27.61 seconds.
  • In the u/9 50m Backstroke, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿 again made waves, finishing with a fantastic time of 1:11.44, while 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 made his mark in the u/8 25m Breaststroke, recording a time of 32.83 seconds. 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗱𝗼𝗺 also excelled in this event in the u/9 category, finishing in 31.91 seconds.
  • Both Ruben (u/8) and Callan (u/9) continued to impress in the 50m Breaststroke. Ruben finished with a commendable time of 1:16.99, while Callan secured another record with a time of 1:13.85.
  • Finally, in the u/8 50m Freestyle, 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 showcased his speed with a time of 55.14 seconds and 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿 also delivered an impressive performance, finishing in 1:00.12.

It was a tightly contested event, but 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝘆’𝘀 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘁𝘁, finishing with a total of 398 points compared to Arnott’s 383 points.


𝘈 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘧𝘧 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵.
