We have every reason to be proud of our Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet swimmers who participated in the season’s first B Age Group Gala in Gqeberha on Saturday, 28 October.
𝗔𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟴𝟳𝟲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟯𝟮 𝗡𝗠𝗕𝗔 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀, 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
🏊♂️ Daniel Davenport secured the 5th position in the 50m Backstroke event, as well as the 5th position in the 13&under 100m Freestyle category.
Moreover, he achieved an impressive 3rd place overall in the boys’ Age 10 50m Breaststroke event, and an 8th place overall in the boys’ Age 10 50m Freestyle event.
🏊♂️ Uziah Willemse amazed everyone with his PBs in the Boys Age 9 category. He secured the 10th position in the 50m Backstroke, the 9th position in the 50m Breaststroke, and the 17th position in the 50m Freestyle.
🏊♀️ Catie Davenport also delivered an outstanding performance, achieving several PBs in the Girls Age 9 category. She secured the 9th position in the 50m Backstroke, the 18th position in the 13&under 100m Freestyle, the 11th position in the 50m Breaststroke, and the 16th position in the 50m Freestyle.
Furthermore, 𝙬𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙡 on being selected to participate in the prestigious TOP 8 Gala, to be held on Friday, 10 November, at the Newton Park Swimming Pool.
