Each term, Union Preparatory School endeavours to give back to our community through one initiative or another.
This year’s Term 3 was no different.
Nearing the end of the term, Union Preparatory School hosted a Heritage Day ‘civvies day’.
For a nominal fee, the learners could all dress up in traditional or cultural attire and enjoy a ‘Heritage Day’ celebration at school.
The funds raised through this event were directed towards the staff at the ACVV Huis van de Graaff, who serve with love and care on a daily basis.
On Thursday morning, 30 September, Union Preparatory School’s principal, Mrs Belinda Botha, and Grade 2 educator, Mrs Robyn Bellingan, visited Huis van de Graaff to present its manager, Ms Rita Theron, with a Profcon breakfast voucher for each and every one of its members of staff, to thank them for their efforts in ensuring the health and safety of the elderly in their care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Union Preparatory School extends its grateful thanks to our learners and their parents for their support in this endeavour!
