Over the recent school holidays, siblings 𝗞𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗽𝗮 travelled to Alice to compete in the Inter-Regional Chess tournament, where they successfully qualified to participate in the EC Closed trials.
Between them, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀 at various chess events across the province – from Makhanda to Jeffreys Bay and Graaff-Reinet.
They are also proudly counted among the six learners from Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet selected to represent the Sarah Baartman Chess teams.
𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴𝘰, 𝘸𝘩𝘰, 𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘶/8, 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶/10 𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱 𝘥𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘬 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 – 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴!
