Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet recently hosted one of its most anticipated events of the year, the annual 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗖 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥, where learners showcased the incredible pieces they have been diligently perfecting throughout the year.
On Thursday evening, 12 September, festivities began at the Drostdy Hotel, where refreshments were served, allowing attendees to mingle and share in the anticipation of the evening’s performances.
As the audience moved to the John Rupert Theatre, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝘂𝗲𝘁𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗿𝘀. The event also featured poetry recitals and solo singers, highlighting the range of skills and creativity among Grade 1 to 4 learners. Their rapt attention and discipline were evident, reflecting an absolute love for music that filled the room with joy.

As the curtains fell on another successful Music Hour, the evening stood as a beautiful testament to the power of music, community and the bright future of Union Preparatory School.
