Mini AstroTurf

Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet celebrated a momentous occasion earlier today, as it proudly unveiled its brand new mini AstroTurf facility.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺, 12 𝘈𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘭, 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺.

The event was nothing short of delightful, with a gathering of individuals closely connected to the project in attendance.

Principal Mr Ross Hulleman extended a warm welcome to all present, setting the tone for a memorable afternoon ahead. Following his opening remarks, 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗿 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗯𝗼𝗻, symbolising the official inauguration of the facility.

In a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, Mr Kingwill expressed appreciation to all those who contributed to the realization of this project. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗱, 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the spirited matches that ensued on the newly opened AstroTurf.

Union Prep’s hockey players showcased their skills as they took on coaching staff, teachers, members of the governing body and their fellow teams.
