U/11As enjoy win against Gill

Union’s u/11A cricketers enjoyed a great afternoon of cricket against Somerset East’s Gill Primary School on Wednesday afternoon, 2 March, in a 𝟮𝟬-𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿.
Gill College won the toss and elected to bat first. Union’s bowlers delivered a stellar performance, restricting Gill to 56 all out in the 18th over.
Union’s best bowler was 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗩𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 who claimed a hat-trick and ended with figures of 7 wickets for only 1 run in 3.1 overs. He was well supported by 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 (2 for 10 in 4 overs) and 𝗠𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 (1 for 15 in 4 overs).
Union then went in to bat. The opening batsmen were in top form, with 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 enjoying superb innings of 35 from 38 balls.
Union clinched the match in the 11th over having only lost one wicket.
