Union’s u/11A cricketers enjoyed a great afternoon of cricket against Somerset East’s Gill Primary School on Wednesday afternoon, 2 March, in a ๐ฎ๐ฌ-๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ.
Gill College won the toss and elected to bat first. Union’s bowlers delivered a stellar performance, restricting Gill to 56 all out in the 18th over.
Union’s best bowler was ๐๐ผ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฉ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ who claimed a hat-trick and ended with figures of 7 wickets for only 1 run in 3.1 overs. He was well supported by ๐๐ผ๐๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ถ๐น๐น (2 for 10 in 4 overs) and ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ (1 for 15 in 4 overs).
Union then went in to bat. The opening batsmen were in top form, with ๐๐ผ๐๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ถ๐น๐น enjoying superb innings of 35 from 38 balls.
Union clinched the match in the 11th over having only lost one wicket.
