Union Preparatory School is excited to announce that former Protea player, Olympian and Old Unionite, Sulette Kotzee (née Damons), will soon be hosting a 𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙘 in Graaff-Reinet.
The clinic, which will be held at the Union High School AstroTurf during Founders’ Weekend 2022, is open to all Union hockey players – Grade 1 to 12, boys and girls.

The clinic will see Sulette share her experience and advice with the young players while focussing on field and stick work skills, along with speed and conditioning to assist with the players’ pre-season training!
This is sure to be a wonderful opportunity for all Union’s players to interact with a Union legend!
𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘:
Sulette, who matriculated from Union as part of the Class of 2007, made her debut in for the SA hockey team in 2010 against Argentina.
In 2019, after 198 games for South Africa including three FIH Hockey World Cups, three Commonwealth Games and of course the 2012 Olympic Games, Sulette decided to retire from international hockey.
Sulette now teaches at St Michael’s School for Girls in Bloemfontein where she also coaches the girls in hockey.
