Union High School offers three scenically positioned boarding houses, which is home to 40% of our pupils. The Grade 1 – 4 boys and girls are accommodated in Max Kroon House, a unique home from home, for about 40 children.

Arthur Kingwill House accommodates the boys from Grade 5-Gr12 and Herby Arnott House is home to the girls of the same grades.

Max Kroon House

Max Kroon House, an old home which has been converted to suit the purposes of a small hostel, provides a home from home for the Preparatory School children in a co-ed hostel so that families are kept together at this young age.

Situated next to Herby Arnott House (senior girls hostel), this warm and loving environment has the privilege of prefects from the hostel assisting the matrons in caring for the little children.

Small bedrooms for each grade and gender offer the children a special homely feeling and they are encouraged to bring toys from home to make it more comforting.

Supervised prep is done every afternoon and care is taken to make it a very safe, happy and protected environment.

Max Kroon House is a weekly hostel, catering for boarding from Monday to Friday.
