Today marked a momentous occasion at Union Preparatory School, as 61 eager Grade 1s stepped into their classrooms for the very first time, with the rain-soaked day in the Karoo seeming to herald a promising start to their educational journey.
Despite the clouds overhead, the excitement among the youngsters was palpable. With smiles as wide as the Karoo horizon, they dove headfirst into their day, quickly getting to work, familiarising themselves with their environment and getting to know their classmates.
