Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet’s little u/9A cricketers recently traveled to Makhanda to face off against their Kingswood Junior counterparts.
- In the MT20 match, Union elected to bowl, delivering an excellent performance to restrict their opponents to 66-9 in 20 overs. 𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙣 𝙉𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 3 𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙨, 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙞 𝙎𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙞 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 2 𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝.
Despite losing 5 wickets, Union chased down the target, with Naude scoring 24, Liam Raath 16 and Sididi 9. Union won by 5 wickets. - In the 30-over match the following day, Union posted 194-6 in 30 overs, with Liam Raath leading the charge with an unbeaten 92. He was supported by Iminathi Sididi, Trenn Naude and Callan Strydom.
