On the crisp morning of Friday, 9 August, Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet hosted its much-loved Interschoolsโ Assembly, a tradition that continues to bring the Union community together year after year.

The assembly began with a stirring entrance by the high school’s 1st rugby and hockey teams, setting the stage for what would be an unforgettable morning. ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐, ๐ฎ ๐๐๐บ๐ฏ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ด๐ฒ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฐ๐ต ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป.
Principal ๐ ๐ฟ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ ๐๐๐น๐น๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป then took the podium, offering a warm and gracious welcome to all present.

The assembly continued with addresses by the 1st team hockey captain, ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฑรฉ ๐ ๐ฎ๐, who spoke with passion and pride, embodying the determination and sportsmanship of Unionโs teams. The energy in the dome reached a peak with the spirited war cries from the younger teams, whose enthusiasm and school spirit were infectious.
A standout highlight of the morning was, without a doubt, the stunning performance by ๐ ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ. Her rendition of the song ‘Union’s Call’ was nothing short of spectacular, creating a moment that sent chills through the audience – a true “goosebumps” experience that will be remembered for years to come.
