If music is food for the soul, then we certainly served up a feast on Monday evening, 23 March, at Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinetโs second annual ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ถ๐ฟ๐.
Set against a cool, overcast Karoo evening, the event brought together choirs from a number of schools across the region for a very special celebration of music.
The evening featured choirs from the Union Schools, Cradock, Gill, Graaff-Reinet Primary, Spandau, Thembalisizwe, Pearson High School and Vuyani.
A particular highlight was the opportunity to hear Hoรซrskool Pearson High Schoolโs choir perform live. Considered the countryโs no.1 school choir, it was a real privilege to welcome them to Graaff-Reinet, especially as part of their centenary celebrations.
Union is grateful to Montego Pet Nutrition for their contribution towards the event and to organiser Mrs Katie Kotze for the time, effort and care she put into making the festival possible.
