Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet’s inaugural 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗼 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗿𝘀, held on Thursday evening, 8 May, was a truly wonderful affair that filled the hearts of all who attended with joy and pride.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 the exceptional voices of choirs from the Union Schools, the Cradock Schools, Thembalisizwe Primary, Gill College and Primary School and Spandau Secondary School, each delivering performances that left the audience spellbound.

𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘯𝘸𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘥.

A heartfelt 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 goes out to the dedicated choirs who participated, the supporters who cheered them on and the many individuals who gave of their time and energy to ensure the event’s resounding success.

A special word of thanks must be extended to Mrs Katie Kotzé, whose tireless efforts played a key role in making the evening a reality. We are also immensely grateful to the event’s main sponsor, Montego Pet Nutrition, for their generous support.

As the final note echoed into the Karoo night, one thing was clear: this was only the beginning.
