New Stands and Score Board

Last year, we found ourselves in the fortunate position to contribute to the Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet campus by installing a new AstroTurf.

This significant enhancement aimed to provide learners with a modern and versatile space for sports and recreational activities, fostering their physical development and team spirit.

To successfully round off this project, we recognised the need for additional facilities, namely a scoreboard and spectator stands. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.

We are thrilled to share the outcome of this initiative, which would not have been possible without the generous support from various individuals.

We would like to extend our 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘 to the contributors who answered the call for aid. The Copeman Family, Pick n Pay Graaff- Reinet, The Class of 1974, Mr Richard Nash and a special donation made in the name of Union learner Grace Kitching played pivotal roles in bringing this vision to life.

This project exemplifies the spirit of community and collaboration that defines our school. Together, we have created a space that not only serves our learners but also brings families and friends together to support their teams. As we look forward to many exciting events on the new AstroTurf, we are reminded of the power of collective effort and the importance of giving back to our community.
