Union Preparatory School, Graaff-Reinet’s u/9A cricketers travelled to Queenstown today to face off against their Queen’s College Boys’ Primary School counterparts.
Union won the toss and put Queen’s in to bat first.
Excellent bowling from 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘂𝗱é (2 overs, 11 runs, 3 wkts), 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘁 (4 overs, 13 runs, 3 wkts) and 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻 (3 overs, 4 runs, 2 wkts) and some good all round fielding, saw Union bowling out their opponents for 52 runs within 13.4 overs.
A excellent opening stand of 46 runs between 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻 and 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘁 saw Union make light work of the run chase ultimately winning the match by 9 wickets.
