Several of Union Preparatory School’s tennis players recently participated in tennis trials which were held in Cradock to determine the teams that will represent this region against other districts in upcoming fixtures and tournaments.
The players who participated are Emma Watson, Mia Botha, Owen Paxton, Harry Watson, Ethan Raath, Alyssa Trollip, Brett Kenmuir and James Stocks.
During the trials, the players competed against their counterparts from schools such as Laer Volkskool, Gill Primary School, Karel Theron Primary School and Cradock Primary School.
Upon conclusion of the trials, Union’s Emma Watson was ranked 1st and Mia Botha 3rd in the Girls u/10 division.
Owen Paxton was ranked 1st in the Boys u/10 category, with Harry Watson being ranked 7th as the Boys u/10 1st reserve and Ethan Raath 8th as their 2nd reserve.
