Teams record mixed results against Westering
On Saturday, 4 May, Union’s u/9A, u/11A and u/13A rugby teams played against Westering Primary School.
The fixture delivered some mixed results, with the u/11As winning their match 12 – 10 and the u/9As (featured on the accompanying photographs) losing 0 – 19.
The u/13A rugby boys played a very physical match.
The first half was evenly contested with both teams struggling to break through the other’s solid defenses.
Unfortunately, two soft tries by Westering early in the second half, had the Union team chasing the game.
The Union players, however, persevered and in the end managed to create two team tries of their own.
Unfortunately, it was too little too late and the final score stood at 14 – 17 in Westering’s favour.
