RULES Of AUCTION
The rules of this Auction comply with section 45 of the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“the Act”) and the regulations thereto.
Sale is “voetstoets” with no guarantees whether express or implied.
TERMS
- The terms are electronic transfer, bank guaranteed cheques, debit /credit cards, or cash only; unless otherwise-announced, the price you bid is the price you pay.
- Any information pertaining to the Lots for sale supplied by the Auctioneers in good faith to the best of their knowledge information and belief but shall not be held bound legally by such knowledge.
- A bid is taken as proof that the Bidder has satisfied himself as to the condition, authenticity or otherwise of any item purchased by him.
- Any item knocked down to the Purchaser becomes his responsibility from that moment onwards.
- The Auctioneer shall control the Auction and determine the manner in which the bidding is conducted. In the event of a dispute the Auctioneer at his absolute discretion shall have the right of deciding who was the last bidder— they may commence the auction or put the Lot up for resale.
- Ownership of all articles remains with the Seller until the Purchase price has been paid in full.
- All persons intending to bid must register prior to the auction and must provide a copy of their identity documents and proof of residence.
- Any person attending the auction to bid on behalf of another person must produce a letter of authority which meets the requirements of regulation 32(3) of the regulations to the Act.
