On Thursday morning, 24 March, Unionโs u/11 rugby team left Graaff-Reinet, making their way to Gqeberha, to participate in ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ธ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐นโ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐/๐ญ๐ญ ๐ฅ๐๐ด๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น.
Upon arrival, they played their first match of the tournament against Westering Primary, which they drew 10-10. Congrats to ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ and ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐น๐ถ๐ป ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ on scoring Unionโs two tries.
Later that afternoon they played against a very strong Grey team, against which they unfortunately lost 29 โ 0.
On Friday, 25 March, the team faced Herbert Herd. It was a very physical game, with the boys from both teams giving it their all. In the end, Union emerged victorious, winning the match 5 โ 0. Well done to Unionโs try scorer, ๐๐ผ๐๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ถ๐น๐น.
Later that afternoon, the boys played against a very strong St Andrew’s team. Although the Union boys dominated most parts of the game, small mistakes led to them losing the game 10 โ 5. Here, ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐บ๐น๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ท๐ถ๐ฒ๐ put the points on the board for Union.
Union played their last match of the tournament against Summerwood on Saturday, 26 March. Well done to Summerwood who won the match 15 โ 0.
