On Wednesday afternoon, 10 November, Unionβs u/9 cricket team played a mini-cricket match against a visiting Gill Primary School side.
Union won the toss and elected to bat first.
Union managed to put 62 runs on the board, with Kari Stern (8 ), Nathaniel Phillips (8 ), Morgan Jacobs (9), DantΓ© Mills (12) and Cayden Thompson (14) delivering good batting performances.
Gill then went in to bat, making a total of 44 runs.
Special mention must be made of the ‘Player of the Match’, Kari Stern, who took 2 wickets. She demonstrated excellent leadership skills on and off the field and sets a very good example to all the other players with her exemplary manners.
Union won the game with 18 runs.
Well done to all the players for the great spirit the game was played in.
